The event started at 11 AM, and they were providing jackets, snacks, toothpaste, women’s sanitation products, and other helpful resources for students who may not be receiving needed necessities. ow the options available to them or may not be comfortable asking for help,” Bowie Case manager Loletta Osborn said.

The nutrition lounge used the table as an opportunity to connect students to what they have to offer. They provided information and recommended students go to the nutrition lounge to see what they fully have to offer. They gave information to students about how to eat healthy, connections to essential resources, and a list of food banks in Prince George’s County.

The nutrition lounge is always accepting donations so that students will always be able to get necessities they need and focus on their education and now their next meal. If interested in donation, they accept non-perishable foods and personal care products. And if you are ever in need of food or cleaning products, the nutrition lounge is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday in the Thurgood Marshall Library
